DIC Consumer Products, the worldwide licensing and merchandising arm of DIC Entertainment, develops and implements licensing and merchandising programs of high-profile entertainment and lifestyle children's brands. As part of DIC's global "brand management" team, the consumer products division works with an extensive network of partners around the globe.
DIC Consumer Products successfully re-launched Strawberry Shortcake in 2003, which has generated close to 1 billion dollars at retail across various categories including toys, apparel, home entertainment, and publishing, amongst others. DIC Consumer Products works closely with DIC's offices based in Paris, London and Munich in addition to over 40 international agencies to manage their programs locally.
In 2005, DIC Consumer Products launched an all-new contemporary entertainment and lifestyle brand for "tweens," called Trollz, based on the classic spiky, colorful-haired Troll character that has generated approximately $5 billion dollars at retail since its creation nearly 50 years ago.
